Silver Falls Bread Company

A place to find good bread is sometimes hard to find. The type of bread that is made from quality ingredients and may remind you of what your grandma used to bake. And, perhaps baking isn’t your specialty. So, it’s hard to find a good slice of sourdough when you’d like one. Luckily, there is the Silver Falls Bread Company in Silverton! If you’re in the mood for some traditional and darn good-tasting bread, then this place is the ticket.

Silver Falls Bread Company

Dan Literas, of Silver Falls Bread Company, is passionate about making bread and its history. It’s about selecting healthy and organic ingredients and also embracing the process of measuring the dough by hand. There is usually a selection of fresh bread to choose from, but it’s best to order in advance. That way, you can ensure the bread you want is there. This bread is so good, that it usually runs out. When the Farmer’s Market is going, and they are there, you’re lucky to find a loaf of bread by 11:00 am that morning. No worries though, there’s an online ordering service on their website, and the place is located right in the area next to Ace Hardware and the Gear-Up coffee shop. When it comes down to it, the simplest bread prepared in the simplest way just what’s needed for the table.

At BST Realty LLC, we love supporting local businesses. After all, we are a local business, and it only makes sense to support one another. We are so thankful for our community and all the amazing things it has to offer. In a way, it’s like “breaking bread” with our community. Sharing with one another, and lifting each other up. That’s why we believe in providing simply the best service. It includes the type of service we provide to our clients, and also how we serve our community by in large. If you’re thinking of buying or selling a home, we’re here to help you at every step in the journey, because we simply love helping people. It’s our “bread and butter,” but when you’re doing great work you believe in, it’s also, “the greatest thing since sliced bread.”

The month of October makes you not only think about getting that pumpkin spice latte, but of course, some pumpkins to decorate your home! From decorative gourds to pumpkins that weigh over 40 lbs, there’s tons of variety. Pumpkins are fun to carve or just leave how they are up until Thanksgiving arrives. Sometimes it’s even fun to take the seeds out and bake them in the oven to eat. The color orange just seems to say “fall is here.” What types of autumn decorations do use around your home?

Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge

In Oregon, we have the pleasure of having so many different places to experience nature. Near Salem, the Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge is just another one to add to the list. It’s great for birders who want to catch a glimpse of the Canada Goose and other migratory birds. It’s also a somewhat easy and moderate area to hike. So, families or others who like to stop and smell the…wildflowers may also enjoy it. At BST Realty LLC, we love introducing our clients to all the many wonders that Oregon has to offer.

It makes sense that a lot of people choose their home in Oregon. In the Willamette Valley, there are so many perks and beautiful places to visit. You have the coast that is just over the mountain ridge or the temperate rain forest. Not only that but the wetland areas that old oak trees inhabit. Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge has more of a plains feel with wetlands and deciduous trees mixed in. If you’re new to the wildlife scene, then that’s fine. It also has educational and interpretative signs to help you explore the environment even more. You’ll also learn that a refuge is a place to quietly observe the wildlife rather than be front and center. It’s a place to just be. And, ways of giving back and supporting the wildlife refuge.

At BST Realty LLC, we love supporting our community and also appreciate all that Oregon has to offer. That also comes to all the different homes that are out there. Our agents are experts of the Willamette Valley and beyond. Each agent offers a special and unique perspective to help their clients get to where they want to be. However you may be starting the journey, we are here to help you at every point. Even if it means doing a couple of switchbacks uphill to get to that great view you’ve been wanting and dreaming about. Give us a call, and let’s start this journey together!

Your Local Library

Can you remember when you were a child and went to the library for the first time? Perhaps it was for a children’s reading book, or you were along with your grandma while she picked up some of her favorite mystery novels. Libraries are foundational to a community. They provide a key to unlocking a bigger world. At BST Realty LLC, we value community, and this for sure includes our lovely libraries both big and little. Your local library serves as a pathway leading down a rabbit hole of what else is beyond. Are there any favorite books you’re thinking about now?

The wonderful Silver Falls Library.

Libraries provide so many important functions for our community. They can be a meeting place for people with a common interest. Libraries can also provide a bit of quiet from a busy home. Perhaps that quiet is needed to try and get a few bits of remote work finished before the day ends. Children may go there and discover Where the Wild Things Are, while young adults may stumble upon Lord of the Flies. Adults may want the latest romance novel, or perhaps a book about Japan – a place they’ve always wanted to go, but haven’t had the chance yet. Beyond the actual space of a library, you can also completely discover things online. Download an app for easy access to request the latest audiobook on how to be more mindful in a world that seems to be spinning faster and faster.

Now, there are also the wonderful little libraries you may notice sprinkled around neighborhoods. Those can be fun because they offer insight into what your neighbors may be interested in, and you may even find a book you didn’t even think about reading and all of a sudden are hooked! It’s a great way to be more connected to your neighbors . It’s also a way to give back. At BST Realty LLC, we love supporting community, and libraries are such an integral part of it!

Minto-Brown Island Park

Minto-Brown Island Park is an oldie but goodie. It’s a little gem in Salem that offers so many things to do! Whether you’re an avid dog walker or love the amazing wildlife sanctuary that it is, there is a lot to choose from. If you’re looking to have a celebration outside, there is also a park shelter available for reservation! In the last decade, the brilliant bridge that arches over the Willamette River is also something to experience. Nearby there is also Salem’s Riverfront Carousel that children and adults that are kids at heart can enjoy.

Minto-Brown Island Park

It can be a park that offers solace or a place that you can socialize with friends. In fact, there are so many other wonderful outdoor places to visit in the Willamette Valley, too. Perhaps you’d like to go north and visit the Willamette Mission State Park. Another favorite is Silver Falls State Park where you can marvel at many waterfalls along the trail. Yet another is Scotts Mills Park, where you enjoy the water with a little fewer people around. If you’re into preserving these places, there are plenty of ways to volunteer, too. Like, volunteering to do trail maintenance from time to time. Giving back to something you may use frequently throughout the year is a great way to show your appreciation.

Think of these parks as an extension of where we live. We are so lucky to have all this access to nature. At BST Realty LLC, we love what the Willamette Valley has to offer and supporting our community. We offer simply the best service to our clients because we truly enjoy helping people with the milestones in their lives. If you’re thinking about buying or selling a home, we’re here for you at every point in your journey. We will advocate for your needs and work hard to make sure you achieve your real estate goals.

Visit Willamette Mission State Park

The Willamette Valley has so much to offer when it comes to the outdoors! Willamette Mission State Park is a great place to visit. It’s just north of Keizer in Gervais. There are scenic trails and access to the water for even more recreation. People even like to bring their horses around. And, if you like throwing a round of disc golf, this could be your new place. Visit Willamette Mission State Park, and see what you’ve been missing!

Visit Willamette Mission State Park

The nature preserve has many tree species, including the largest black cottonwood that’s 270 years old and counting. When it comes to the water, if you fish, this may be the place you’d like to sit for a while. It’s a peaceful setting that where you may be able to catch some bluegill or carp. If you’re looking to take the boat out for some speed, then there’s also a boat launch. If you’re more interested in staying awhile, then there’s also camping! Supporting Our Team

At BST Realty LLC, we love supporting one another. One way we did this recently was by sponsoring Silver Falls Sasquatch. Jackson Sherwood, Broker, is a part of the bicycling club! We got this snazzy hat as a thank you for our sponsorship. We also love supporting organizations like SACA in Silverton and Shangri-La in Salem. There are so many wonderful ways to help in our community. And, it feels really good to be a part of strengthening it. Another way to think about it is that we are supporting our team in real estate and beyond.

Supporting Our Team

Mentorship

When it comes to our agents, we make sure a solid foundation is set when they come on board. Whether they’re experienced or new to the real estate game, we offer mentorship and training opportunities for any level. In other words, we meet our agents where they are at and provide the support they need. We love to see when some of our seasoned agents take on a mentorship role with our newer agents. And, when those newer agents get more experience, they also can help in return. This type of effort makes our team even that more tight-knit. And, it makes it fun! We provide a supportive community environment for everyone to thrive.

Flexibility

If you’re interested in joining the team, we have flexible plans that fit your lifestyle needs. There’s no corporate fee or lead fees to worry about either. Our leadership team is here to support you. Because, when you flourish, we do, too. Our offices in Keizer and Silverton are also fully equipped if you’d like to meet with a client in person or over video conference. We have cloud-based systems that enable you to work remotely. We find that all this flexibility with the latest in technology offers an optimal environment for our agents to do what they do best! Because, after all, we are simply the best, and our team environment reflects that.
