Your Winter Home Pathway

Buying or selling a home is typically thought about as a springtime activity. However, did you know that winter is a great time, too? Some perks go along with it. If you’re a seller, then putting your home on the market during winter could mean less competition with other homes for sale. In addition, if you’re not necessarily ready to sell your home starting when the clock strikes midnight and rings in 2022, that’s fine, too. It’s also a great time to reach out and make a plan with your broker for the future. Determining the best strategy that works for your winter home pathway is just a part of what we do. At BST Realty LLC, we listen carefully to our client’s wants and needs to best achieve their real estate goals.

Brilliant Silver Falls State Park entering the back country trail.

Making the move to buy a home may also have its bonuses. It gives you another perspective on the home during potentially extreme weather conditions. For example, how’s the heat in the house performing after a week full of freezing nights? Will it feel more like there are icicles hanging from your nose or like a cozy cup of hot cocoa? How much sunlight does the home get during winter? This is such an important question, especially for the rainy season in the Pacific Northwest. The lens into a home during wintertime could play a valuable role in what home you’d want to choose. And, winter is a time that you’d probably spend the most time in your house as well.

2022 is just around the corner! If you’re thinking about buying or selling real estate, we are here to help you successfully reach your goals. Our team is simply the best. We have expert agents that offer different types of specialties to best match your real estate needs. Winter is a great time to reflect on what matters most. And, this could mean a big milestone like making a move to a home that better fits you and your lifestyle.

Although, if you have chosen to travel to loved ones, we hope that you have had safe travels from the winter storms as well. The winter snow has a way of creating a cozy and nesting feeling. Spreading the Holiday Spirit

Holiday cheer is something we like to spread around! At BST Realty LLC, we love giving back to our community. One of our agents, Chelsea McKinney, is doing just that with the donating of books to kindergarten and elementary school students. Chelsea is passionate about spreading the gift of reading to youth. And, she has gotten a book for each child in four different elementary classrooms at Mulino Elementary School. This encompasses every kindergarten and first-grade child there! We love it when our agents demonstrate such generosity in our community. Spreading the holiday spirit is a wonderful thing to do!

There are so many ways to give back to one’s community. And, during the holidays it’s a great way to start the New Year, too. When a person gives back to their community, it not only helps others but also warms their hearts. In a way, giving back is also treating yourself to feeling good. At BST Realty LLC, we have gladly been involved in supporting the community during the holidays. This includes having a Christmas tree at our Keizer Office that has special tags on it. These tags indicate what students/families may need for the holidays, and we love to be a part of it. What are some ways that you lead with the holiday spirit and contribute to your community?

Honestly, we love giving back to our community 365 days a year. And, Chelsea is thinking of making her book donation even more throughout the year. We are so proud of how each one of our agents supports our community, because each agent has a unique way of helping it shine. When we lift each other up, then the whole community is better for it. This holiday season, we are wishing you joyous moments with your loved ones. And, that the generosity of the holidays continues throughout the brand New Year ahead.

Keizer Miracle of Christmas Light Display

The Keizer Miracle of Christmas Light Display is a time-honored tradition in the Gubser neighborhood that has been going on since 1984. It’s about viewing the twinkling lights and also offers an opportunity to give back to community. Does your neighborhood have any traditions you look forward to celebrating each year? Taking a drive with loved ones to see the holiday lights is something that almost everyone can do. And, while you’re in the car, perhaps turn on your favorite holiday tune for a sing-along. Or, even better, taking to the sidewalk and singing a carol or two. Getting in the jovial spirit is and supporting community is what we are about. At BST Realty LLC, we love celebrating all the uniqueness that each neighborhood brings.

December 25th is right around the corner. This means Christmas and Santa Claus will be arriving. Whether it be leaving out cookies (the gluten-free kind) or going to church and lighting candles, there are many traditions that people celebrate together. Tradition is such an important thing. It’s a reminder of where we come from, and also a gauge of where we are in life. It makes sense that New Year’s Eve (NYE) is soon to follow. NYE can be a huge party, a time for reflection on the past year, or a bit of both. However you celebrate during the holidays, we are wishing you some quality time surrounded by love.

At BST Realty LLC, we believe in supporting our community 365 days a year. Each year around the sun is such a gift, and we are thankful to be a thriving local business due to our team, our clients, and our community. Holiday Tradition

Each year in December, people ring in the season by celebrating with a holiday tradition or two. Perhaps it’s hanging the calendar to countdown how many days until Santa arrives. Others it’s lighting the first candle of the Menorah. Dancing, storytelling, and African drumming could also be how you celebrate. In Silverton, one of the traditions is the lighting of the Christmas tree in the middle of town. Many families come out to see Santa Claus give the signal to light the tree. A simple but very momentous moment for all the kiddos to experience. However you may celebrate, it’s truly a special time of year.

The Silverton Christmas Tree

At BST Realty LLC, we love how the people that make up our community are unique. Each person has a different way of thinking that makes all our lives that much richer. We have offices in Keizer and Silverton, so if you’re looking for another festive holiday activity, the Keizer Miracle of Christmas Lights Display is also an amazing sight to behold. Our agents also bring different qualities and experiences to the team. And, this makes us that much more knowledgable when serving up simply the best service to our clients. During the holidays, we also give back to our community in different ways. It makes us feel good to help out families that may need a boost during the holidays by getting things like clothes and toys for the kiddos.

Our community is so very important to us. And, maybe it’s the wintertime that makes us think a bit more inward about what we’re doing in the world, that makes us also want to express our love and gratitude outward during the holidays, too. At BST Realty LLC, we hope that you have a wonderful, and are also ringing it in with joy come the New Year!

‘Tis the Season

December is right around the corner, and people are getting ready for the holidays. At BST Realty LLC, we get into the holiday spirit by supporting our community in different ways. One of those ways is to give gift boxes to students/families who may need a little help this year. The idea is simple, pick out a tag on the Christmas tree at our Keizer Office, and fulfill someone’s wish list. ‘Tis the season, and in a way, you could think of yourself as Santa Claus. I mean, why do you think Santa always looks so jolly? It’s because Saint Nick is going around the world giving presents.

Tis the Season

Presents can take so many different forms. And, when it comes to people who may be in need, it just makes sense that the generosity of the holidays is shown through serving our community. We adore our team, our clients, and our community. You make us who we are, and we help one another shine. Our team is comprised of some very talented individuals who also have big hearts when it comes to helping out one another. We strive for simply the best service when it comes to our clients. This holiday, think about how you’re going to celebrate and support your community. At BST Realty LLC, we think about who needs support as well as making sure we support local businesses and organizations. Another simple way to spread more holiday cheer is to remember to shop local. Whether you’re donating to a non-profit or buying locally, we hope that it warms your heart. We are grateful to be a local business that serves so many. And, we are looking forward to all the holiday festivities to come. How might you be like Santa Claus this year?

Thankful for Our Community

During the holidays, it’s easy to get lost in the details. But, one of the ways to zoom out and view the bigger picture is to do good things for others. It not only helps lift them up but lifts up everyone involved. The goodness a person feels inside after helping someone that is in need is irreplaceable. Taking a moment to look outside ourselves opens up a completely new world of possibility. At BST Realty LLC, we are so thankful for our community. Each year, we give back in many ways. It’s because we believe that when we help others, the entire community benefits. Are there ways that you give back to your community?

Thankful for Our Community

Holiday Giving

We have a lot of things happening during the holidays. And, if you’d like to be involved, too, here are just a few ways! At the Keizer Office, we’ll have a tree to hang donation tags from the Keizer Chamber for local youth that need items in the community. Also, there is a Shangri-La donation tree, too, that’s better for if you’d like to donate online. So many ways to give, it’s sometimes hard to choose. But, here’s a hint, go with your heart.

It’s not just the holidays that we think about our community. A portion of what we earn goes back into the community through the year. To wonderful organizations like the Warrior Battalion and Silverton Area Community Aid (SACA). We’re proud to be a part of our community and to support one another. At BST Realty LLC, hope that your holiday is plentiful. And, that your heart is filled to the brim with gratitude like ours.

What gives?

Sometimes, when it comes to the holidays, things can begin to feel a bit stressful. There is planning to see family from afar, tackling a homemade dish you may have never cooked before, or trying to find the perfect gift for that special someone. You get to a point where you think, “What gives?” The real question though is, “Who gives?” It’s the people that make up our community and support it. And, when zooming out to view the bigger picture, one can plainly see there is a lot of love out there. At BST Realty LLC, we are all about supporting our community. As a local business, we get how important it is to make sure the people closest to you feel safe and comfortable in their lives. This is the effort we provide for our clients, too.

Strangely Famous

Have you seen the occasional movie production while taking a hike down your favorite trail in the woods? It’s funny to think that the pristine forest you wander about could also be the stuff of Hollywood productions. Although, the temperate rain forest of the Willamette Valley brings with it wonder and mystery. So, perhaps it does make sense that it’s strangely famous. Silver Falls State Park is a place where you may see the occasional film crew. It’s odd to see trailers and cars with a camera mounted to the top of them. But, that’s the life of cinema.

strangely famous

Right now, filming is happening in the backcountry horse trail. It’s possibly a murder mystery. There is a crane, possibly to film the aerial shots. This area is notorious for filming. You may have remembered the series Twilight filmed there years back. With the sometimes foreboding fog of winter rolling it, it makes for the perfect set. Just in time for the spookiness of Halloween as well. Speaking of Halloween, the Goblin Walk is coming up! And, we are having our annual photo contest for best costume! Bring on your most creative and ghoulish costumes. We can’t wait to see you while you’re trick-or-treating this year! The winner receives a mini-photo shoot with the talented Maddy Traver.

The Willamette Valley has so much to offer in all seasons. And with the chills of winter edging in, it ushers in Halloween and that crispness that brings out the greens of the forest like you’ve never seen. It may also signal a time to get cozy and chill with your favorite cup of hot cocoa. Or, it may mean that the trails are less traveled, so there’s a chance to take some solo walks and enjoy nature by yourself. Either way, there are so many lovely signals nature gives us, to let us know the seasons are changing. Those signals are so precious, that even Hollywood wants to give it its 15 minutes of fame.
