Judy’s Party – October 22nd @ 7:00pm

Please join us this Saturday, October 22nd at 7:00 pm by attending the 2nd Annual Judy’s Party – Community Celebration being held at the First Christian Church in Silverton. It is a celebration party and fundraiser for local non-profit organizations. Last year $15,000 was raised for the local non-profit community.

This is not only a great way to raise money but also an opportunity to recognize the importance of volunteering in our community. Judy Schmidt, who passed away 2 years ago, was the perfect example of making a difference in this community through volunteerism. She was an advocate for many local non-profit organizations and Director of Volunteer and Community Services for Silverton Health. What better way to remember her and what she did then to have a fundraiser party in her name.

There will be a silent and oral auction and music by Bret Lucich. Brett is an Oregon native musician, singer and entertainer who has performed throughout the Pacific Northwest, Canada and Nashville. Check out his webpage at http://bretlucichshow.com

Don’t forget to check out the item our office donated to the auction, a Mexican Dinner for 10 people with Salsa and Merengue Dance Lessons by Elias Villegas. Last year the Mexican food was amazing and the dancing that followed was a blast.

Thank you to everyone who stopped at our office to enjoy the live music at the Silverton Sidewalk Shindig. It was a huge success because of you. We were honored to have been given this opportunity to join in with other Silverton downtown businesses to showcase a wide variety of music all afternoon and into the evening. Hundreds of locals and out of towners showed up in spite of the occasional wind and light rain. Special thanks to the 4 musical groups that participated and drew quite the crowd: Holly and Suzanne, Brad Hirsh, Free Range Reveleers and Joyful Jon & Jay. Also special thanks to Belgian Underground Beer for supplying us with tasty beer.

Make Your Property More Attractive for Homebuyers

Ensure a Good First Impression

Homebuyers make up their minds about a property in the first few minutes. Make sure your home makes that vital first impression. New paint does wonders. There are also liability issues to deal with as well. They may react differently to stranger and it may cause them stress. All pet-related damage should be repaired prior to showing the home. Make sure to also remove all odors and stains. New visitors will notice smells when they come to view the house. This is not something you want to happen. Have your carpet and floors professionally cleaned or replaced. Pick up any messes in the backyard and have any sod replaced and other damage repaired.
